About Us
Our story began during the War of 1812, when our founder melted down household metals to supply critical buttons for the U.S. Military. More than 200 years later, Waterbury Button Company continues to honor the legacy with American-made craftsmanship, precision manufacturing, and an unbroken commitment to quality.
Operating from our 40,000-square-foot facility in Cheshire, Connecticut, we proudly supply the entire U.S. military, using original methods of stamping, plating, and assembly. Every piece reflects a tradition of excellence and a deep connection to American history.
As one of the last American manufacturers specializing in this time-honored art, we proudly dress the US Military, Police, Fire Departments, and other uniformed personnel. You can find our buttons in virtually all closets across the USA.
Waterbury buttons aren't just functional — they are heirlooms, collectibles, and lasting symbols of American heritage. Each piece carries a story of resilience, craftsmanship, and pride.
Now, for the first time, we're opening our vaults. The Waterbury Button Collection is launching direct-to-consumer, offering exclusive access to our historic cufflinks and buttons. Now you can own a piece of enduring American-manufactured craftsmanship.
